Elischer Potteries was founded by John Elischer, the son of John Wolfgang Elischer who had emigrated to Australia from Austria in 1935; he was a Sculptor.
In 1987, John Elischer (Jnr) sold the Company and the imprints changed to National Ceramic Australia.
